Hallo, ist chocolatey Paketmanager für Windows, auch für ein bestehendes nutzbar?


Hatte es gerade mal versucht. Weiß aber nicht o0b es glatt durch gegangen ist. Scheinbar liegen keine Updates vor...


Oder Ich habe mich zu dumm angestellt.


Und ja, Ich hatte den Befehl: choco upgrade -y all, benutz.

1. Das Log sieht nicht gerade nach der Ausgabe von choco upgrade all aus - was zu Geier hast du da reinkopiert?
2. Logs grundsätzlich in code tags posten und nicht einfach so reinknallen

Nun den Befehl der dort dabei steht.

Das ist aber immer noch ein völlig anderes Log. Wie die Ausgabe von choco upgrade all aussieht hab ich ja erwähnt.

Vielleicht hilft das Bild, ja weiter.

Also Ich gehe unten Liks auf dem Windows Button (Windows 7-64 Bit), gebe CMD ein, oder bzw. suche danach, rechte Maustaste drücken, als Administrator starten. geht und dan Kopiere ich das dort rein. und danach halt choco upgrade -y all. So weit richtig?

Du hast kein einziges Programm mit choco installiert. Du musst die Software, die künftig chocolatey im Griff haben soll, einfach mit choco nachinstallieren.

Habe es gerade eben noch ein mal versucht, nur warnings. Bis zum choco upgrade -y bin ich nicht gekommen.


So Ich hoffe auf diesen Bild sieht man mer.

Hm, dann vesrstehe Ich den ganzen Sinn nicht dahinter.


Ich gehe mal davon aus das man diese Sache auch mit einem bestehenden System nutzen kann, um es damit auf dem aktuellesten Stand zu halten.


Betrifft:


- Windows updates


- Programm updates ( was halt schon in meinem Fall installiert worden ist )


- Treiber updates


- etc. ppp


Oder doch nur brauchbar, nach einer kompletten Neuinstallation?

Ich dachte dieses programm arbeitet anders, schaut nach, was veraltet ist, und wen ja versucht es mein System auf dem aktuellsten Stand zu bringen...

Nein so arbeitet choco nicht.

Du musst einmalig die Programme mit chocolatey installieren. Mal ein Beispiel mit 7zip, Filezilla, Irfanview, Notepad++ und VLC - völlig egal ob du diese schon manuell installiert hast oder nicht, die musst du mit choco installieren:

erst wenn diese mit choco installiert wurden, werden diese Programme mit einem

auch mit chocolatey aktualisiert.

Hm, ach so funktoniert das. Müsste Ich ja alle meine schon installierten Programme durchgehen, bzw. aufschreiben, und mit noch ein mal "nach installieren" ???


Wo ist da der spürbare Vorteil für mich?


Ich verstehs immer noch nicht.


Zum Beispiel, viele Programme haben doch schon eine update funktion in ihren Programmen drin. Und manche "stand alone" Programme werden einen auf nach einer Zeit Achse X eine neu Version, herunter zu laden...
