Bei einem Systemscan gibt Antivir mir folgende Fehlermeldung.

ich kann den file also nicht in Quarantäne stellen. was kann ich tun?

Benutzt du Windows oder Linux? Benutzt du XP oder ein anderes Betriebssystem? Welche Mailsoftware nutzt du? Wie heißt die bemängelte Datei?

Hast du den Rechner einer anderen Person übernommen, ohne diesen Neuzuinstallieren?

Weißt du was die Person alles mit dem Rechner gemacht hat, was sie an Malware auf dem Rechner hat/hatte? Ob sie den Rechner manipuliert hat, um weiterhin auf den Rechner zugreifen zu können? etc?

Es ist natürlich deine Entscheidung, aber ich würde niemals einen gebrauchten Laptop übernehmen, ohne das System komplett neuaufzusetzen.

Wenn du Thunderbird und die darin gespeicherten Mails nicht brauchst, kannst du einfach den Ordner

C:\Documents and Settings\DIGuser02\Application Data\Thunderbird

löschen.

Wenn du Thunderbird weiterhin nutzt und nur die entsprechenden Mails löschen willst, dann musst du Thunderbird starten, die entsprechenden Mails in den Mülleimer verschieben. Den Mülleimer leeren und anschließend unter dann unter Datei auf "All Ordner des Konto komprimieren" klicken.
Danach sollten die Dateien auch verschwunden sien.

nun da wir den Rechner nutzen um in Afrika einen Flughafen zu bauen, und hier keinerlei Installations-CD der fachspezifischen Programme mitgebracht wurde (was natürlich ein Unding ist) kann ich den Rechner meines Vorgängers nicht neu installieren. Aber er ist ja ein Kollege und Freund, von daher hab ich keine Bedenken. :-)

Wieso vertraust du dann nicht auch seinen Emails?

Ich hoffe ich muss jetzt nichts über Backups, kaputte Festplatten und verlorene Daten sagen?
Auch wenn man keine Windows-CD zum Neuaufsetzen hat sollten die Datein gesichert werden.


Desweiteren würd ich gern ein HijackThis log sehen.... Mal sehen, was außer dem Flughafen noch auf dem Rechner ist

Das deutet zb schon auf Probleme hin. Ist ein 2. Antivirenprogramm auf dem Rechner installiert? Nutzt ihr andere Software von Symantec/Norton?
2 Antivirenprogrammen reduzieren die Sicherheit des Systems, da sie sich gegenseitig behindern, bitte eins deinstallieren.
