Hatte heute bemerkt beim Serven mit Windows SE, das es ein Update gibt, hatte es verneint, das ich mihr das Update später holen tuhe, zwecks den NeuBooten.

Jetzt ist mihrs eingefallen das MS ein Update zuer Verfügung gestellt hatte, ausgeführt, nun das :

Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the most out of your computer.

Windows Update uses ActiveX Controls and active scripting to display content correctly and to determine which updates apply to your computer.

To view and download updates for your computer, your Internet Explorer security settings must meet the following requirements:

Security must be set to medium or lower
Active scripting must be set to enabled
The download and initialization of ActiveX Controls must be set to enabled
Note These are default settings for Internet Explorer.

To check your Internet Explorer security settings

On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab.
Click the Internet icon, and then click Custom Level.
Make sure the following settings are set to Enable or Prompt:
Download signed ActiveX Controls
Run ActiveX Controls and plug-ins
Script ActiveX Controls marked safe for scripting
Active scripting

Downloaden/Updaten kann ich da wirklich nichts?!

Die Meldung als solche ist schon korrekt und sofern sie durch die Windows-Update-Funktion deines Windows ausgelöst wurde, auch in Ordnung. Allerdings sollte es ohne weiteres möglich sein, dass es dieses Update auch als normalen Download gibt. Da wirst du wohl oder übel auf der Microsoft-HP nach Neuigkeiten Ausschau halten müssen.
Ich habe diese Funktion bei mir deaktiviert und besorge mir meine wenigen Updates, die ich brauche, über www.wintotal.de
Da es bei mir keinen IE auf dem Rechner gibt, würde das AutoUpdate eh nicht funktionieren und das ist auch so von mir gewollt. Andererseits benötige ich EBEN WEGEN des Fehlens des IE auch weniger Updates.
