bei der gelegenheit möchte ich auf zwei knoppix-forks hinweisen:

das oben erwähnte quantian[1], dass sich in richtung wissenschaft bewegt, und dann noch cluster-knoppix[2], dass einen einfachen aufbau von clustern (nodes und client) ermöglicht.

wer also ein haufen alt-pc's zuhause stehen hat, kann sich mit cluster-knoppix auf einfache weise einen supercomputer zusammenzubasteln...
