| Problem: Windows 7 langsam - Altersschwäche oder Softwareprobleme? Liebe Mitglieder des Forums, seit geraumer Zeit ist mein Rechner sehr langsam. Bis das System hochgefahren ist und ich zB Firefox gestartet habe, vergehen viele Minuten. Da der Rechner schon viele Jahre auf dem Buckel hat, stellt sich mir die Frage, ob das nach so langer Zeit normal ist oder ob irgendwelche Softwareschwierigkeiten Ursache sein könnten. __________________Und dazu Windows 7, sicherheitstechnischer Sondermüll. Hier gibt es nur eine Vorgehensweise: - Festplatte durch eine SSD ersetzen - Windows 10 oder 11 installieren, aber nicht mehr Windows 7.

| Windows 7 langsam - Altersschwäche oder Softwareprobleme? Frag doch mal im Bekanntenkreis rum ob es da jemanden gibt der dir im Desktop PC die alte HDD durch eine neue SSD ersetzen kann. Ist nicht so schwer wie du denkst, brauchst halt auch für die SSD einen Adapterrahmen in dem die SSD rein verbaut wird und dann kommt der Adapterrahmen mit der SSD ins Desktop Gehäuse und wird da verschraubt und die SSD angeschlossen.

| Windows 7 langsam - Altersschwäche oder Softwareprobleme? Adapterrahmen muss nicht unbedingt. Es gibt SSD im 2,5 Zoll Format. Die sehen von außen wie eine HDD aus. Einfach nur umstecken und fertig. Booten mit einem Win 10 auf einem Rufus oder Ventoy-Stick. Installieren und fertig. Ich hab schon viele alte Gurken reanimiert....

Ich habe mich auf euer Anraten im Freundeskreis nochmal genauer umgehört und es gibt jemanden, der findig ist. Mit ihm habe ich besprochen, dass ein neues Notebook (die Anforderungen meinerseits sind nicht hoch) die bessere Variante als die Lebensdauerstreckung. @mmk: Danke für die ausführliche Anleitung! Und ja, Asche auf mein Haupt, die tatsächlich medial aufbereitete "Abschaltung" von Windows 7 habe ich geflissentlich ignoriert.
